Discord is an instant messaging social platform that allows users the ability to communicate with voice calls, video calls, text messaging, media, and files in private chats or as a part of communities called servers. Discord is a semi public, forum-style community platform.
It is popular amongst online gaming, crypto, and NFT communities because it allows users to self organize, communicate, and collaborate.
The Discord application can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS, and the Play Store for Android. Once downloaded, launch the app and select register to create your account.
You will need the following: username, email address or phone number, and a password.

After providing the required information, create your account to start using Discord!
Before logging in for the first time, you will need to verify your account via the email address or phone number you provided during the account creation process.
To login, you can visit https://discord.com/login or use the app on your device. Once on the login page, enter your verified email address or phone number and the password associated with the account.
You can also use a QR code for a quicker login via the desktop and mobile Discord applications. You can enable this in the settings via the scan QR code option. Note that the app will ask for camera permissions on your mobile device in order to scan the QR code.
Navigate to the Discord login and open the scanner, scan the QR code, and upon completing the scan you will be asked to verify your Discord login on the mobile device.
<aside> ⚠️ Never approve a QR code login that you did not generate yourself. If you have been sent a QR code by someone else, hit cancel right away!

A Discord avatar is similar to a profile picture! Navigate to user settings by clicking the gear icon at the bottom left part of the app. Proceed to the user profile tab and from there you can add, change, or delete your avatar. Feel free to use a Sunrise Art Club Sunrise that you have collected!
Avatar supported file types are PNG and JPG.
